HIMCR-Challenge #201-Freestyle

Hello crafty peeps!  This week's challenge @ Hiding in My Craft Room is sponsored by Freckled Fawn.  Check out their products HERE!

On to the challenge.  Unfortunately I didn't have anything from Freckled Fawn's shop to use.  This week's challenge is Freestyle, which is sometimes more difficult than having an assigned task.  LOL.  As chance would have it, my daughter has a birthday party to attend today and the invitation has a cute Minnie Mouse theme....and thus the task was defined.

I made a card for the birthday girl using a Peek-a-boo card cut file from SVG Cutting Files and a Minnie girl cut file from PPbN.  The sentiment and tag are from Jaded Blossom.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check out what my co-DT members have created!  Oh, and don't forget to link up your challenge project @ HIMCR!

HIMCR=NSD-HapBEE Birthday!

Thanks for stopping by for another challenge.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Digi Digi Doodle!

I chose 2 images for this card.  One is inside and the other is outside.

Since the challenge is May Flowers, I added a little blue flower with a large brad in the center.  I also added a little ink to my honeycomb background.  Of course the honeycomb effect is thanks to my Cuttlebug and folder.

See ya next time!

HIMCR-NSD-Happy Birthday!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!  So glad you could join us for our 2nd Challenge of the day @ Hiding in My Craft Room.

Our challenge sponsor is Scrapbook Society/My Besties.

For my project, I chose this cute little girl holding balloons.

I must admit, I've never really used digital stamps and I am so out of my comfort zone.  I did decide to have fun with it, and although I need lessons on using colors and shading, I think she'll do.

See ya next time.

Happy 90th!

Today I have a card I made for my brother-in-law's grandmother.  She is turning 90 years young and has only asked to receive one more birthday card than she received last year!
The card base and Pumba are files from SVG Cutting Files.  You can no longer get Pumba(he was a hop-goodie), but you can buy the awesome card base HERE.

I used the Add Text feature in Design Space with my Cricut Explore and the Bronze Metallic Pen for my sentiment inside!

I used Party Animal Stamps and Mini Tag Dies 2 dies for my sentiments on the front.  You can find these and lots of other goodies from Jaded Blossom HERE.

I put Pumba on an Action Wobble for fun.  Cardstock is Stampin' Up! Printed paper is from the Stampin' Up! Birthday Bash Designer Pack.  Please join me in wishing Mrs. Velma Gildon a Very Happy 90th Birthday, and many more to come!

Anna Claire is turning 9!

So my baby girl is having her 9th birthday in a few weeks.  We are throwing her party at the Skating Rink with a Rockin' 50's theme.  Today's project is a birthday card I made to give to her.
I made the card 5 1/4 x 4, using a 5 /14 x 12 sheet of cardstock, scored at 2", 4", 8",& 10".  Then I added some cute paper from My Mind's Eye-Happy Day 6x6 mat.
This cutie is an SVG file from SVG Cutting Files called Jukebox Jenna 50's Girl.  You can find her HERE.
The jukebox and the little birdies are from the Cricut Nifty Fifties cartridge.
I used quite a few items from Jaded Blossoms for my sentiments and inside of my card.
You can find these goodies and more HERE.
This is what it looks like when you open it up!

I used a piece of Stampin' Up! bakers twine on the Party Time tag!
I put Jenna(Anna Claire) on with an Action Wobble for fun!!
Now she can dance to the music!

I am entering a few challenges with this card:
Action Wobbles Challenge-Anything Goes
Die Cuttin Divas-208 Music in our Schools

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card.  See ya next time!

Dragon Birthday Card

My DH and I love Game of Thrones.  His birthday is Wednesday, so I made this card using a file I was fortunate enough to receive from Ann over at SVG Cutting Files.  The file is no longer available, but she has some amazing files that can be used with a multitude of cutting machines.

I used Stampin'Up! cardstock and inks.  Sentiment inside and out from Jaded Blossom Stamps!  I also used a die from Jaded Blossom for the scallop circle on the front.  And of course I used my Cricut Explore to create the card and my Cuttlebug to add the super cool scales to my dragon. Hope you like it. I plan to enter this card in the FCC, BBTB2, and DCD Challenges.  See you next week!

Exploring Cricut Happy Birthday Challenge

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

For our Challenge @ Exploring Cricut, we had to create a Birthday themed project using the colors Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and White ONLY.

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

Using my Gypsy, I chose the banner from Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and a smaller layer out of the red, blue, green and yellow papers included in the SU Primary Simply Scrappin' kit.  Used ATG tape gun to glue layers together.

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

I made paper rosettes out of Stampin' Up! 12 x 12 Whisper White cardstock.  I cut the scallops using Cricut Mini Monograms using the same colored cardstock.  I also cut the circles with MM using one of the designer sheets of cardstock included in the kit.

Using the same cardstock colors and Cricut Plantain Schoolbook, I cut out my letters and letter shadows.

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

I used zip dry pen to add the letters to the rosettes. Then I used my craft knife and cut slits in the banners so that I could run my ribbon through before hot gluing my rosettes onto the banners.

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

Now I have a Generic Birthday Banner ready for a Party!!!
Hope you like it.  Now you get to crafting and don't forget to go to Exploring Cricut and link up your entry!  Until next time...
