Friend's Birthday Card

Took advantage of a snow day, especially since we almost never see snow.  I wanted to enter a couple of challenges this week.  I decided to make a birthday card for a girlfriend at work who's birthday is next month.
Just Us Girls challenge is a color challenge this week.  The challenge requires the use of at least 3 of 4 colors: Benjamin Moore Navy, Benjamin Moore Silver Crest, Benjamin Moore Grant Beige, and Benjamin Moore Heartbeat.
BBTB2 challenge is: Tic Toc Clock.  The challenge requires the use of a Cricut clock image from any Cricut cartridge of your choice.
Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge is: a sketch, obviously. LOL!
Showcase Your Style challenge is: Birthday.  Not sure I'll make this one, since I can't figure out the linky.  I've already tried to enter a card and it shows up as "Linky Tools 2.0" *blah*
So the color challenge colors sparked my brain.  I knew I had some printed papers somewhere that would be perfect, but I couldn't find them where I thought they were.  Then it hit me, I had purchased DCWV Le Tres Chic Stack and Cardstock Stack.  Stampin' Up! Night of Navy for the Card Base.
Oh, and I've never made a Double Z fold card{ at least that's what I think it is.}  I used a sentiment from a set of MCT stamps, a die from Jaded Blossom, some twine and brads from Michael's and a brad from Stampin' Up!  I almost forgot, I used the clock from the Cricut "Heritage" cartridge.
I hope you like what I came up with.  See you next time!

Dragon Birthday Card

My DH and I love Game of Thrones.  His birthday is Wednesday, so I made this card using a file I was fortunate enough to receive from Ann over at SVG Cutting Files.  The file is no longer available, but she has some amazing files that can be used with a multitude of cutting machines.

I used Stampin'Up! cardstock and inks.  Sentiment inside and out from Jaded Blossom Stamps!  I also used a die from Jaded Blossom for the scallop circle on the front.  And of course I used my Cricut Explore to create the card and my Cuttlebug to add the super cool scales to my dragon. Hope you like it. I plan to enter this card in the FCC, BBTB2, and DCD Challenges.  See you next week!

Baby Shower Card

Today's project is a baby shower card for my niece.  I was watching some of the video from Cricut Ultimate Creative Series Sampler and fell in love with the Baby Shower card Ginger made.  I decided to make my own version of the card.

I used Stampin' Up! cardstock and for the printed papers, I found the Nursery Nest Designers Series Paper Pack from Stampin' Up! (I have way too many crafting supplies.  Going through my stash is so much fun.  I find things I forgot I had and get excited all over again!)  The Circles, Baby title, Label, and Bottle are all Cricut cuts that can be found in the Ultimate Creative Series Cartridges.  Not to worry if you missed out on that awesome deal, the cuts are just samples from original Cricut cartridges.  The baby title and circles are from Plantin Schoolbook.  The snazzy label is from Home Accents. And the cute bottle is from Doodlecharms.
Random buttons, lots of inking, and a whole lot of fun! Hope you like my spin on this adorable, easy card.  See you next time!

Anna's Valentine Treats

My 8 year old DD made a few treats for her class for Valentine's Day using Jaded Blossoms stamps and dies and some cute heart cuts from Cricut Doodlechatms with Peachy Keen faces!

She had lots of fun making these cute, easy projects for her classmates.  See you next time.
